A couple weeks ago we taught you how to properly clean your Ergovea natural pillow, this week we are bringing out the big guns. Below is a list of specific Ergovea product care directions, we tried to make the care and work you put into maintaining your natural mattress as simple and easy as possible.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Place your Ergovea mattress indoors, out of direct sunlight, and do not use it outdoors in unsheltered environments. Ensure adequate space between hot air vents and your mattress.
Appropriate Ventilation
It is important for all rubber mattresses to have proper air flow. Please refer to the warranty for proper foundation specifications. Do not place mattress on floor or solid wood surface of any kind.
Caring for Organic Rubber Latex
Your Ergovea 100% Natural Latex mattress will remain fresher when covered with a washable, waterproof mattress protector (purchased separately).
Appropriate Bedding
High-heat devices such as electric blankets, heating pads, irons or hair dryers can be used as long as they are not in direct contact with any natural latex component of your mattress.
Best Care & Cleaning Practices
Keep the waterproof, washable mattress protector (purchased separately) over your mattress during use. Machine wash the mattress protector (only) according to its manufacturer's directions.
When washing the mattress protector, you may 'air' the Ergovea mattress, but do not machine wash any part of the Ergovea mattress cover. Cover can be removed and “green cleaned” by a professional service.
If you should get stains on the Ergovea mattress cover, gently "spot clean" with a clean cloth and a few drops of mild non-detergent soap in a cup of water. Wipe mixture away with a clean, damp cloth and let the Ergovea mattress "air dry". Do not use a hair dryer to dry.
