As you know, we love anything organic! It’s the bread and butter to our products and our lifestyle. When we started this blog idea we didn't know it was going to be a series! As we were researching organic school supplies, we found a plethora of organic lifestyle products that were under appreciated. So, naturally, we decided that we needed to take action. Today as part two of our Beyond Sleep series (where we find you the best organic products that are don't just pertain to your organic sleep needs) we are bringing you the best organic fashion that we can find.
Thought. Contemporary fashion that's sustainable. Natural fabrics. And good design. (Formerly Braintree Clothing). Their organic cotton is Global Organic Standard2 (GOTS) certified (just like our mattress certification!) They use Oeko Tex approved finishes (just like Ergovea) and have Azo-free (harmful carcinogen) dyes. Each wool product is sustainable, ethical, and humanely sourced and their tencel fabrics are recycled and reimagined. Their line also includes fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles, sustainable hemp, bamboo, and rayon (which is sourced from tree pulp).
Each piece of clothing is considerate to the planet, human, and animal welfare. Each person that touches their products is treated respectfully with fair wages and working conditions. They are partners with the Ethical Fashion Forum, a non-profit network that pushes for ethical production. Annnd an added bonus to this online business is that they only ship directly from the country of production.

We choose plants that are organically grown, animal fibers from humanely treated animals, and recycled material from post consumer waste.” Their fabric production is as localized as possible this includes sourcing, yarn spinning, cutting, sewing, and dyeing. Their dyes are azo free and their water used in dyeing is collected, cleaned, and reused.
Their bamboo is sourced from a environmentally friendly crop, and is Oeko-Tex 100 certified. They use post consumer recycled polyester and hypoallergenic silk. Their wool products is sourced from the first shearing of an alpaca which is responsibly farmed and sheared and fair trade certified.

The minimalistic and clean look company of Beaumont Organic focuses on luxury casual pieces, with almost all made from 100% organic cotton with GOTS certification. Beaumont works only with factories in the EU, paying fair wages and providing ethical working conditions. "We do this by asking questions, producing ethically, reducing wastage, using off-cuts where we can for sampling and keeping consumption low."
Their bamboo textile is made from the pulp of bamboo grass. "It is very sustainable. It grows rapidly without the use of any pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. PACT, a certified B Corp, uses non-GMO, organic cotton and non-toxic dyes to produce their clothing. Their products are produced in sweatshop-free, family-run farms using renewable energy factories. They strive to be ethical or sustainable. PACT is also GOTS Certified and Fair Trade Certified.
